The General Secretariat Of Civil Protection (G.G.P.P.) As A General Mission (No. 1, Pd 151/2004) Has The Following: • The Study, Planning, Organization And Coordination Of Action For The Prevention And Dealing With Natural, Technological And Other Disasters Or Emergency Situations, As Well As Informing The Public About These Issues. • The Preparation, Mobilization And Action Coordination Of The Countrys Potential And Means Of Civil Protection To Deal With Potential Disasters Of Any Kind Within The Framework Of The Existing Relevant Planning Per Risk Category. • The Use Of Available Scientific Data And Information To Mobilize The Potential And Means Of Civil Protection Of The Country, In View Of The Threatened Risk Of Disasters. • The Coordination Of The Project And Actions To Deal With Disasters During The Occurrence Of The Phenomena, As Well As The Work Of Restoring The Damages Caused. In Order To Achieve The Above, It Is Deemed Necessary To Create A Holistic Risk Management And Prevention Operational System With Systematized Information On All Risks, With The Aim Of Their Operational Utilization By The Operational Units And Agencies Involved In Crisis And Risk Management, As Well As By The Scientific Community, Businesses But Also The General Population (With Different Levels Of Access). The Main Objective Pursued By The Implementation Of The Project Is The Development Of A System That Will Allow Civil Protection Officers To Make Optimal Decisions, Organize All Available Resources And Manage All Incidents, Having Access To Information And Data Of High Quality And Accuracy . This Project, Through The Appropriate Interoperability Mechanisms, Will Collect Data From All The Individual Systems And Infrastructures Of The Y.K.K.P.P. . In This Way The System Is Expected To Compose Different Types And Forms Of Collaborative Infrastructures With A Direct Impact On How Institutions Make Real-Time Decisions On Crisis Prevention, Preparedness And Management. The Project Also Includes The Implementation Of The Institutionalized National Database Of Risks And Threats (Ebd), Which Will Include All Recognized Risks And Threats That Activate The Cycle Of Disasters, And Will Be Responsible For The Coordination Of All Involved Agencies And Available Risk And Incident Management Systems. The Ebd Will Be Indicatively Recorded: • All The Disasters That Occur (Characteristics Of The Phenomenon That Caused The Disasters, Spatial And Sectoral Impact/Damage Recording, Available Resources And Means During The Response Phase, Damage Restoration Costs), • The Creation Of Maps Risk For Natural And Man-Made Disasters, Which Will Be Updated At Regular Intervals, • The Observance Of Time Series Of Data
