Business Services: Law, Marketing, Consulting, Recruitment, Printing And Security – 81307381-Support For The Production And Marketing Of Sustainable Charcoal And Efficient Stoves In Selected Provinces. Despite Ambitious Political Goals To Reduce Unsustainable Charcoal, There Has So Far Been Little Progress In Restructuring The Charcoal Sector. There Is A Lack Of Regulatory And Economic Incentives For Private Sector Actors Along The Value Chain To Switch To Sustainable Charcoal Production And Use (Core Problem). The Module Objective Is Therefore: The Regulatory And Economic Incentives For A Switch To Sustainable Charcoal Production And Use Are Improved For Actors Along The Value Chain In Selected Provinces.? Target Groups: The Direct Target Group Of The Project Are Intermediaries Such As Specialists And Managers From The Ministry Of The Environment (Medd) And The Provincial Coordination For Environment And Sustainable Development (Cpedd) As Well As The Private Sector Actors Along The Extended Sustainable Charcoal Value Chain. These Include Both Msmes And Cooperatives, Which Mostly Participate In Economic Activity At The Village Level As Hitherto Largely Informal Units, But Also As Individuals. The Indirect Target Group Are Households In Maniema And Sud-Kivu Province, Which Use The Products - Sustainable Charcoal, Briquettes And Improved Stoves - In Urban Centers. Based On Surveys Of Socio-Economic Conditions In The Provinces Of Maniema And South Kivu, 80% Of Households Are Vulnerable Due To Their Low Income Situation. You Need An Affordable Cooking Energy Supply. Due To The Focus Of The Project, Only Improved Stoves That Can Be Financed By Vulnerable Households, But Also Meet Set Quality Standards (E.G. Are 30% More Efficient Than Traditional Stoves) And Contribute To Forest And Climate Protection Through Fuel Savings Are Supported. Women And Girls Are The Predominant Users Of Improved Stoves Used For Cooking In Households. ?? Three Outputs Are Planned: Output 1 Strengthens The Institutional Capacities Of The Relevant Specialist Authorities At National And Provincial Level To Design Regulatory And Economic Incentives For Sustainable Charcoal Production And Use. Output 2 Aims To Strengthen The Technical And Entrepreneurial Capacities Of Private Sector Actors In Selected Provinces To Produce Sustainable Charcoal And Briquettes. Output 3 Strengthens The Technical And Entrepreneurial Capacities Of Private Sector Actors To Produce And Market Improved Stoves. The Following Impact Assumptions Underlie The Formulation Of The Outputs: The Module Contributes To Improving The Regulatory And Economic Incentives For Sustainable Charcoal Production And Use By Strengthening The Institutional Capacities Of The Responsible Specialist Authorities For Incentive Design (Output 1). The Module Also Strengthens The Technical And Entrepreneurial Capacities Of Private Sector Actors
