This initiative will see the existing paper-based reporting system migrated to an electronic system. The objective of this procurement is to obtain the delivery of an electronic reporting service / app for use by Amateur Charter Vessel operators to record and report their catch information. The expected benefits and outcomes of this procurement includes - ease of use by the ACV operator; the timely recording and reporting of catch information; improved data quality; and ease of integration for future changes to reporting requirements. Culminating in certainty of more accurate information available to be used for Fisheries Management purposes. Electronic catch reporting is already in use across the commercial fishing sector, and a similar solution is envisaged for charter vessel operators.
