The Purpose Of This Project Is To Replace Domestic Water Piping Throughout Prince Rupertregional Hospital (Prrh). Prrh Was Built In The Early 1970’S And Is Six Storeys, Includingtwo Basement Levels For Building Operations, And Four Levels For Patients And Medical Staff.All Domestic Water Service Piping, Hot, Cold, Recirculated, And Fittings, From The Waterentrance And Throughout Prrh To Each Fixture Are Due For Replacement Based On The Age Ofthe Facility And Accelerated Pipe Degradation From Water Quality Challenges. The Waterquality Challenges, Specifically Acidity And Turbidity Were Resolved In 2024 With Theinstallation Of A Water Treatment System At Prrh.As Prrh Is An Operational Healthcare Facility, All Areas Of The Hospital Must Remainoperational Throughout The Duration Of This Project.Proponents Are Asked To Submit A Fixed Fee With A Breakdown Of Each Phase (Seesection 3.3), For Preparation Of The Following:1. Investigation And Schematic Drawings2. Design Development Drawings And Specifications3. Tender Package And Support4. Construction Package And Contract Administration; And,5. As-Built Drawings And Relevant Models.Northern Health Is Seeking Fees For Each Phase Listed Above, However A Contract Willonly Be Issued For Phase 1 And 2 Above At This Time.
