Work Detail
Carrying Out Railway, Paving, Sewerage And Other Additional And Associated Work For The Redesign Of The Hofplein In The Stadsdriehoek District In The Municipality Of Rotterdam. The Aim Of The Redevelopment Of The Hofplein Is To Create An Urban Multifunctional Space With A Strong Rotterdam Identity, In Line With The Wishes And Challenges Of Our Time. The Hofplein Must Become A Link To Improve The Quality Of The City Center, By Offering A Better Quality Of Stay, Making The Environment More High-Quality For Visitors, Residents And Office Users. Hofplein Is An Important Access To The Core Shopping Area And Is Located In The Middle Of The Citys Main Office Area And Fits In With The Ambition To Establish (International) Head Offices In The Central Business District. A Better Hofplein Also Ensures A More Attractive Tourist Climate, Especially If The Relationship Is Made With The Hofboogs, The Westblaak And The Schouwburgplein. The Development Of The New Hofplein Also Contributes To The Economic Development Of The City Center And The Consolidation Of The Local Job Engine. The Current Layout Of The Hofplein Is Based On Optimal Traffic Flow, But Offers Few Options For Accommodation, Greening, Climatic Improvement And Environmental Aspects. To Make Room For This, An Integral Change At System Level Is Needed In Which The Traffic System Strikes A Better Balance With The Citys Other Tasks. This Fits Within The Vision Of Public Space (2019-2029) And Is Made Possible By The Rotterdam Mobility Approach (Rma), A Green And Sustainable City With Public Space Of And For Everyone And More Space For Cyclists And Pedestrians Is Made Possible Because The City Center Is No Longer Intended For The Car To Traverse, But Where The Pedestrian Comes First, Followed By Bicycle, Public Transport And Car. It Is A Task In Which Technology, Mobility, Use, Management, Local Employment And Climate Adaptation Must Be Approached Integrally With The Aim Of Creating A Square With A Vital Urban Character And A Powerful Rotterdam Identity That Contributes To A City Center That Invites People To Meet And Interact. Stay. The Course Of The Project Can Be Divided Into 3 Different Project Parts, All Of Which Are Integral To These Assignments. - I. Joint Work Preparation; - Ii. Realization; - Iii. Maintenance. It Is Possible That, As A Result Of The Step-By-Step Implementation, The Project Is Simultaneously In Several Of The 3 Stages Mentioned. I. Joint Work Preparation The Clients Want To Use The Period Between Award And The Actual Start Of Implementation To Go Through A Period Of Work Preparation Together With The Contractor. The Aim Of This Period Should Be For The Parties To Achieve The Maximum Possible Work Preparation For The Start Of Implementation Through A Number Of Consultations, Whereby The Level Of Knowledge And Detail Regarding The Project Must Be Raised To An Increasingly Higher Level During This Period. At The Start Of Part I. Joint Work Preparation Of The Project: - The Teams Of The Contractor And Clients Are Introduced To Each Other; - Do The Clients Provide An Explanation Of The Objective Of The Project; - Provide The Clients With A Substantive Explanation Of The Contract Documents; - Provides The Contractor With An Explanation Of The Submitted Lab Action Plan; - Follow-Up Agreements Will Be Made About The Further Details Of The Work Preparation Period. As Part Of This Project Component, The Contractor Draws Up The Engineering Products And Work Plans And Submits Them To Management For Acceptance. The Materials To Be Supplied By The Contractor That Are Critical To Achieving The Schedule Must Also Be Ordered By The Contractor During This Period. Ii. Realization During Part Ii. Realization, The Clients Ask The Contractor, In Addition To High-Quality Execution Of The Work, To Also Organize And Facilitate A Number Of Coordination Meetings. These Consultations Must Ensure A Good Flow Of Information And Coordination Between Contractor, Clients And Third Parties In Order To Keep The Level Of Knowledge High, To Engage In Mutual Expectation Management And To Identify And Resolve Any Imperfections And Inefficiencies During Implementation At An Early Stage. In Addition To The Regular Consultations, Separate Consultations Must Be Organized On The Following Topics: - Traffic Measures - Planning - Third Party Activities (Utilities, Sewer Relining Contractor, Nbd And Unspecified Others) - Safety Region - Preparatory/Implementation Consultation Iii.
