Sheets (Construction) – Supply Of Mumetal Sheets. The Supplies Will Contribute To The Construction Of A Magnetically Shielded Chamber. In Addition To Wood And Electrical Steel, The Supplies Will Consist Of Plates Made From A Special Alloy Called Mu-Metal. This Specific Alloy Is Needed To Build The Shielding, Given Its Extreme Magnetic Permeability. In Concrete Terms, The Equivalent Of 1.8 T Of Mu-Metal Is Needed To Build The Chamber. Once Manufactured, The Mu-Metal Will Have Been Cut To Size, Then Heat-Treated In Special Furnaces To Obtain Its Shielding Properties. For More Technical Information On Supplies, See Part B.
