The District Of Tofino Is Requesting For A Proposal For The Acquisition Of A Power Marine Vessel Between 5.5 - 6.0 Meters (18 - 20Ft) In Length With A Shallow Draft That Can Accommodate Navigating Through The Various Intertidal Narrow Passages Around The Tofino Inlet And In Duffin Passage. The Vessel Must Be Compliant To Commercial Registration With All Transport Canada Safety, Navigation And Fire Requirements Installed And Able To Accommodate 6-8 Persons Plus Motor, Equipment, And Fuel. The Primary Use Of The Vessel Is Transportation Of Tools, Light Equipment, Material Such As 6 Meter (20Ft) Lengths Of Pvc Or Hdpe Piping And Personnel To And From Meare’S Island To Perform Infrastructure Maintenance And Respond To Emergency Events. The District Of Tofino Has A Maximum Upset Budget Of $150,000.00 To Invest In This New Asset. The Rfp Weighting Is Not Solely On Price But Includes Quality Of The Submission, Further Detailed Below.
