Expression of Interest are invited for Business Models for Private Sector Engagement in Plastics Value Chain - Informal Recycling Sector. Description: The objective of this assignment is to conduct deep dive and field market studies for selected models for private sector engagement in plastics value chain in India, with a focus on informal recycling sector, covering key value-chain stakeholders, especially lead offtake firms. This will include active consultations with private sector investors, financiers, and companies across the value chain, including waste management firms, aggregators, recyclers, rag- pickers, NGOs working on waste management (plastic waste in particular) and with rag pickers, urban local bodies (Municipal corporation, Municipality etc.) in coastal areas, sample of village panchayats (especially coastal communities- impacted by plastic waste or involved in plastic waste management) packaging manufacturers, and national and global brands and retailers, as well as CSOs and regulators to understand the current ecosystem in India and recurring challenges for scaling up investment in Marine Plastics Management (and supporting value chain).
