Isothermal Titration Calorimeter measures the heat released or absorbed during biomolecular interactions to simultaneously calculate binding affinity stoichiometry, enthalpy, and entropy in a single experiment. This equipment will be applied to research in the study of proteins and drug discovery by multiple research groups within the Biomolecular Interaction Centre and at the University of Canterbury. The current ITC equipment is aged and does not meet the expected outcome. Purchasing a new ITC will support and enhance research capabilities within BIC. This project will bring capabilities to the biochemistry science community at UC across transdisciplinary research areas.
