As Part Of The Open Process, A Membrane Furnace With Thermal Afterburning Is To Be Procured For A Sintered Set Of Up To 2000 Membrane Tubes With A Length Of Up To 150 Cm And A Total Set Mass Of Up To 40 Kg (Plus Up To 300 Kg For Kiln Furniture). Due To The Organic Components Contained In The Membranes (Up To 15% By Weight), Thermal Afterburning As Well As Air And Nitrogen Are Required As Sintering Gases. The Furnace Should Be Designed For Regular Operating Temperatures Of Up To 1150 °C At Heating/Cooling Rates Of Up To 3 K/Min And Have The Ability To Measure And Monitor Temperatures In Characteristic Areas Of The Furnace Chamber As Well As To Measure The O2 Content. The Oven Must Be Protected Against Splash Water, Coarse Dirt And Dust From Work Or Cleaning Processes In The Adjacent Work Area. It Is Set Up In A Corner Of The Room, Which Is Why It Must Be Assumed That There Are Two Sides That Are Difficult To Access.
