Notice Is Hereby Given That Provincial Health Services Authority (“Phsa”) Intends To Directly Award Extension To The Community Pharmacy Contracts Beyond The Current Expiry Date With The Suppliers Mentioned In Appendix A (Attached With This Noi). This Extension Is To Dispense And Deliver Medications Listed On The Bc Renal Agency (Bcpra) Formulary And Nutritional Supplements (“Products And Services”) For A Term Of Up To One (1) Year And Two (2) Option Years From August 1, 2024 To July 31, 2027 Or Until The Execution Of New Contracts As Part Of The Competitive Process Under This Category, Whichever Occurs First (“Extension Period”), At An Estimated Annual Value Of $5M Cad. Phsa Has Chosen Not To Proceed With A Competitive Process For The Following Reason: In Order To Maintain Continuity Of Services And To Ensure Compatibility With Existing Goods During The Extension Period, Although There Are Alternate Vendors Available, Phsa Has Decided To Extend The Contracts With Abovementioned Suppliers. This Extension Is Temporary As It Proceeds With The Formal Initiation And Completion Of A Competitive Procurement Process. During This Interim Period, Phsa Acknowledges That It Is Not Feasible To Secure A Reasonable Alternative To Supply These Essential Products. Vendors Who Wish To Challenge This Decision Should Submit A Detailed Written Objection To The Attention Of Pharmacy, Sourcing, Provincial Health Services Authority, By Email Before 2:00Pm Pacific Time, May 21, 2024.
