Invitation - Call For Artists This Request For Proposals (The “Rfp”) Is An Invitation By The Town Of Stony Plain (The “Town”) To Prospective Proponents To Submit Proposals For Art In Public Places - 3D Art Design & Installation At The Stony Plain Public Library, As Further Described In Section A (The “Deliverables”) Of The Rfp Particulars (Part 2). The Town Of Stony Plain Is Pleased To Announce A Competition For Three-Dimensional Artwork(S) (The “Work”) As Part Of The Town Of Stony Plain Art In Public Places Program. This Program Is Funded By A Percent For Art Policy Which Is Designed To Enhance The Visibility Of Public Artworks Throughout The Community. The Selected Three-Dimensional Work Will Be Permanently Installed Sitting Upon The Seat Of The Existing Bench(Es) Located Outside Of The Stony Plain Public Library Entrance (The “Location”) (See Annex B – Location Context). The Three-Dimensional Work Is Not Required To Have Any Specific Subject Matter, However It Must Be Appropriate For Viewers Of All Ages And Artists Must Take Into Consideration The Location, The Patrons Of The Stony Plain Public Library, And Visitors To Downtown Stony Plain. Further Specifications Pertaining To This Competition Can Be Found Under Part 2. Individual Artists And Artist Teams With Prior Experience With Public Art Installations Are Eligible To Apply.
