Energy And Related Services – 81306325-Assistance Technique Au Programme Energies Durables Ii (Ped Ii) Au Senegal. In Order To Support The Sustainable Energy Programme In Senegal (Ped Ii) Of The Senegalese Ministry Of Petroleum And Energies (Mpe), Financed By Bmz And Implemented By Giz, Contractor Will Be Hired For Supporting The Achievement The Objectives And Indicators Of The Project. The Objective Of Ped Ii Is To Strengthen The Senegals Ministry Of Energys Capacity To Reform In Order To Promote Sustainable And Climate-Friendly Energy Sources. The Project Contributes To Senegals Roadmap For The Implementation Of The 2030 Agenda Sdgs, In Particular Sdg 7 (Access To Energy), 9 (Industrialisation) And 13 (Combating Climate Change) And The German Support To Reach The Objectives Of The Just Energy Transition Partnership (Jet-P) Signed Between Senegal And The G7 In June 2023. The Expected Results Of The Project Are: 1. The Instruments For Steering The Implementation Of The National Energy Strategy Aimed At Low-Carbon Socio-Economic Development That Is Resilient To Climate Change - Decarbonization - Are Increasingly Available. 2. The Capacities Of Public And Private Players To Promote The Sustainability Of Rural Electrification Are Strengthened. 3. Economically And Employment-Oriented Solutions For The Productive Use Of Renewable Energies Are Increasingly Available. 4. The Capacity Of Public Players To Promote Energy Efficiency Is Strengthened As Part Of A Sustainable, Climate-Friendly Energy Policy. 5. Instruments Are Available To Public And Private Players To Leverage The Policy Framework To Accelerate The Expansion Of Grid-Connected Renewable Energies As Part Of The Just Energy Transition In Order To Reach These Results, The Contractor Will Be Supporting The Achievements Of The Objectives And Indicators Of The Project By: - Provision And Management Of Long Term Experts That Contribute To The Achievement Of The Above Defined Indicators And Ouputs. - Provision And Management Of A Short-Term Experts (Stec) Pools Which Provide For National And International Experts For Assignments That Contribute To The Achievement Of The Above Defined Indicators And Ouputs. - Provide High Quality Technical, Methodological Expertise And Strategic Advice Strengthening The Ministry Of Oil And Energy, Its Executive Agencies, Its Coordination And Monitoring Unit Of The Jet-P And Key Stakeholders Of The Sector In The Areas Of: O Renewable Energies Governance, Framework And Regulations O Rural Electrification And Off-Grid Energy Provision O Productive Uses Of Renewable Energies In Off-Grid Rural Areas O Energy Efficiency Measures In Strategic Sectors (Transport, Public Lightening, Etc.) O Development And Integration Of Renewable Energies Into The Grid The Contractor Plays A Role In The Below Specified Work Packages, Thereby Contributing To The Attainment Of The Corresponding Milestones: - Work Package 1: Promoting A Sustainable Rural Electrification And Capacity Strengthening Of Public And Private Sectors (Module Output 2, 20%) - Work Package 2: Supporting The Productive Use
