The Land Surveying Institute Is Currently Renewing Its Own Terrain Data Production System. The System Collects And Updates Data From The National Terrain Database And Produces General Map Products. The System Is Developed On Top Of The Open Source Qgis Spatial Data Software. The System Is Used By About 150 Mappers All Over Finland. The Aim Of The Reform Is To Enable Even Higher Quality, National And Up-To-Date Basic Location Information. At The Same Time, The Maintenance Of The Material Is Being Developed More Efficiently In Order To Reduce Duplicate Material Collection Work. This Will Promote The Use Of Materials For Different Purposes And Enable The Utilization Of New Technologies And Standards. In Connection With This Change, The Land Surveying Institute Is Renewing The Mapping Tools Used In The Terrain In Order To Improve The Efficiency Of The Mapping Work. During The Field Visits That Are Part Of The Work Processes, The Mappers Check The Objects Left Unclear In The Stereo Mapping And Map New Objects That Cannot Be Maintained Or Verified From Other Data Sources. To Support The Work, Software Will Be Developed And The Necessary Equipment Will Be Acquired, Which Can Be Used To Produce Terrain Data As Part Of The Basic Location Data Production Process. Based On The Findings Of The Market Dialogue, The Procurement Unit Has Decided To Purchase Spatial Data Receivers To Support Stereo Mapping To Make Work More Efficient And To Digitize Work Processes. The Object Of Procurement Are Location Data Receivers With A Positioning Accuracy Of <50 Cm. The Receiver Must Be Connectable Via Bluetooth (Bt) To A Tablet With An Android Operating System. The Android Operating System Is Regularly Updated To The Latest Versions That The Gps Receiver Must Support. The Qfield Application On A Tablet Is Used For The Collection Of Terrain Data, With Which The Geospatial Data Receivers Must Work. A Large Part Of The Maintenance Work Of The Terrain Database Is Done By Mapping From A Moving Car, So The Location Data Receiver Must Work Reliably In Motion. The Bt Connection Must Work From The Outside Receiver To The Tablet Inside The Car. The Device Must Be Suitable For Off-Road Work And Must Be Splash-Proof Or Waterproof. The Device Must Withstand Rain And Work Even When Wet. The Number Of Location Data Receivers To Be Acquired Is Estimated To Be More Than 40 In The Next 6 Years. Maintenance Of Purchased Equipment After The Contract Period Of 24 Months. In 2025, 40 Location Data Receivers Will Be Procured Initially, And More In The Following Years If Necessary.
