Expression of Interest are invited for Developing Green Building Materials Data Base in Egypt. IFC Egypt is delivering the first Green Building project in Egypt in cooperation with the Housing and Building National Research Center (HBRC), an affiliate of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development, which is the main client of the engagement. The project activities are designed to increase the supply of certified green building (GB) stock in Egypt and are based on IFCs offering for GB/EDGE product. This will be done through (i) strengthening the regulatory and policy framework by supporting, at national and subnational government level, the development of GB incentives, as well as building the capacity of the HBRC and other relevant public entities; (ii) business development activities and capacity building for the private sector through events; marketing campaigns, videos, case studies, marketing toolkit; technical meetings & workshops; establishing relationships with industry associations and development of capacity building activities; and (iii) improving awareness of the GB business case for FIs by creating capacities on the FI sector, pipeline, market intelligence and investment opportunities IFC is seeking to hire an international consulting firm with the expertise in construction sector specifically in Green Buildings Sector to work on delivering a training course to develop Green Building Materials data base for manufacturers in Egypt.
