Engineering Services – Vgv Traffic Systems - Renovation Of The Neuhausen Auf Den Fildern Town Thoroughfare. The Municipality Of Neuhausen Auf Den Fildern Is Planning To Renovate The Through Town In A North-South Direction. The Traffic Situation On The L 1202 Is To Be Improved Through Targeted Redesign Of The Road Space. In This Context, Renovation Work On The Sewerage System And The Drinking Water Network Is Also Planned. Construction Is Scheduled To Begin Around Mid-2025, With An Expected Construction Time Of 2 Years (In Sections). A Large Part Of The Road Surface In The Section Of Kirchstrasse That Is To Be Renovated Is In Poor Condition. If Necessary, The Municipality Is Planning Additional Measures On The Road Surface On Adenauerstrasse. These Are Not Part Of This Procurement Process. An Assessment Of The Condition Of The Sewer System Is Still Pending. Drinking Water And Gas Pipes Are In Old Condition. The Basis For The Planning Is A Traffic Study Of Kirchstrasse By The Bernard Group In October 2023. The Traffic Load On The L 1202 Is Given As Approximately 9,600 Vehicles Per 24 Hours (Svz Bw 2019). The Speed Is Limited To 50 Km/H, And In The Area Between Entenstrasse And Karlstrasse To 30Km/H. Due To The Slope Of Kirchstrasse In A Northerly Direction, There Is A Speed Difference Between Motor Vehicles And Bicycle Traffic Uphill. A Possible Expansion Of The 30 Km/H Speed Limit Needs To Be Examined. The Through Town Is Used By Bus Transport. Heavy Transport Is Also Permitted If Necessary, Even If The Road Is Not An Officially Designated Heavy Goods Route. It Must Be Clarified With The Rp Stuttgart Whether The Requirements For Clear Height (5.5M) And Load (218T) Must/Can Be Met, As Conflicts Arise Here, Among Other Things, With The Existing Underground Lines. There Are 3 Bus Stops In The Study Area, Some Of Which Are Not Barrier-Free And Are To Be Redesigned. Kirchstrasse And Its Crossing Options Are Part Of The School Routes In Neuhausen Auf Den Fildern. As Part Of The Renovation Work, The Aim Is To Widen The Sidewalks, Which Are Currently 1.5M Or Narrower, To 2M. The Two Existing Traffic Lights In The Southern Section Of The Road Should Be Retained. In The Bus Bay Area, It Is Necessary To Create A Compliant Island To Cross Kirchstrasse Because The Existing Central Island Is Too Narrow. The Rast (Guidelines For The Construction Of City Streets) Must Be Applied. Since The Existing Street Cross-Section, At An Average Of 10M, Is Too Narrow For The Sum Of All Usage Requirements - Motor Vehicles/Public Transport, Stationary Vehicle Traffic, Pedestrian Traffic, Bicycle Traffic - Variants Were Examined With A Focus On Specific User Groups. The Variant With A Focus On Foot Traffic And Parking Is Rated As The Most Practical With The Possibility Of Taking All Requirements Into Account. The Measures Aimed For Are: • A Continuous Roadway Width Of 6.5M • The Widening Of The Sidewalks (>= 2M At Least On One Side) • Integration Of The Existing Crossing Options • The Marking Of Parking Spaces
