Architectural And Related Services – Planning Competition According To Rpw 2013 - Bqu_Bahnhofsquartier Leverkusen-Mitte. Following The Modernization Of The Zob In 2020 And The Track Expansion By Deutsche Bahn (Completion Planned For 2024), The Train Station Area In Leverkusens Central Wiesdorf District Is To Be Further Developed Architecturally Into An Attractive Entrance To The City. In This Context, The Transitions To The City Center And The Adjacent Areas - Which Have So Far Been Primarily Aimed At Road Traffic - Are To Be Upgraded. The Swm District Development Company Wiesdorf/Manfort Was Assigned This Task - Among Other Areas Of Activity. To Ensure Architectural And Open Space Planning Quality, It Was Decided To Hold A Regulated Competition In Accordance With Rpw 2013. It Includes The Plans For A New Construction Of The Station Building And A Bicycle Parking Garage Parallel To The Track As Well As The Associated Open Spaces. As Part Of An Additional Urban Development Task, An Open Space Planning Design Proposal Is To Be Developed For The Connecting Space Between The “Rialto Bridge” And The Train Station Building As Well As The Area In Front Of The Eastern Entrance. The 12 Teams Of Architects And Landscape Architects Participating In The Competition Are Expected To Submit Design Proposals That Will Form The Basis For Further Planning Of The Site. According To The Procedural Program, The Gross Floor Area Includes Approx. 4,200 M² For The Station Building And Approx. 520 M² For The Bicycle Parking Garage. The Announcement Is Initially Aimed Exclusively At Architectural Offices; The Offices Invited To Participate After The Draw Must Then Come Together To Form A Team With Landscape Planning Offices Of Their Choice Within One Week. Further Participation In The Process Is Then Only Possible As A Merger Between The Architectural Office And The Landscape Planning Office. The Following Services Are Awarded: • Property Planning For Buildings (§34 Hoai) And Open Spaces (§39 Hoai), Service Phases 2-4 + Key Details; • The Sponsor Reserves The Right To Commission The Further Service Phases (Lph 5 To 9); The Reservation Applies To Service Phase 5 In Particular If The Sponsor - Contrary To What Is Currently Planned - Does Not Have The Project Realized By A General Contractor; • The Organizer Also Reserves The Right To Award The Planning Services Separately For The Station Building And Bicycle Parking Garage If The Jury, Based On The Submitted Designs, Comes To The Conclusion In Its Assessment That The Separate Implementation Leads To Optimal Implementation.
