Request for proposals are invited for Establishment of an Integrated Individualized and Community Agroecological Approach for Sustainable Management of Watersheds Establishment of an Integrated Individualized and Community Agroecological Approach for the Sustainable Management of Watersheds in the Territories of Mwenga and Walungu (South Kivu) Assessment Step 1: Proposals meeting the conditions of administrative verification and admissibility will be assessed. The quality of the proposals, including the proposed budget and the capacity of the applicants, will be seen assign a score out of 100 based on evaluation criteria 13 to 26 of the verification grid and assessment provided in Appendix F2a. The evaluation criteria are broken down into selection criteria and award criteria. The selection criteria aim to ensure that applicants: have stable and sufficient sources of financing to maintain their activity throughout the throughout the proposed action and, if necessary, to participate in its financing; have the management capacity and professional skills and qualifications required to carry out the proposed action OBJECTIVES OF THE CALL FOR PROPOSALS AND EXPECTED RESULTS The general objective of this call for proposals is to sustainably increase the resilience of households most vulnerable to shocks. The specific objective sought is an ecological intensification of family farming systems favoring a sustainable increase in production, accompanied by sustainable community management of natural resources and diversification of the livelihoods of small family producers located in watersheds in the Walungu and Mwenga territories. To achieve this objective, the subsidized organization must follow a logic supporting households in the transition to more sustainable agricultural systems, through local advisory support, both technical and social. In this regard, it is particularly expected that development of local agricultural advice and farm management focused on the adoption of Page 3/21 agroecological practices in cropping and livestock systems, as well as the establishment of a community management of soil, water and biodiversity resources.
