Request For Proposalsforsouthside Force Main Rehabilitation ¿ Phase 4Fordouglasville ¿ Douglas County Water & Sewer Authority8763 Hospital Drivedouglasville, Georgia 30134 April 17, 2024Rfp# 186The Douglasville ¿ Douglas County Water & Sewer Authority (Hereinafter Referred To As The ¿Authority¿) Is Soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals From Qualified Firms For The Southside Force Main Rehabilitation ¿ Phase 4 (The ¿Project¿), As More Fully Described In The Request For Proposals. The Scope Of Work Includes The Provision By The Contractor Of All Labor, Materials, Equipment, Tools, Transportation, And Supplies Necessary To Complete The Work. The Project Will Be ¿Turnkey¿ And Require Minimal Involvement Of Authority Personnel.The Work Shall Include Rehabilitation To Approximately 600 Lf Of 24¿ Dip, 1,150 Lf Of 30¿ Dip, And 6,400 Lf Of 36¿ Dip Force Main That Has Been Degraded By Exposure To Hydrogen Sulfide Gas. Rehabilitation May Include Open Trench Replacement Of The Line, Pipe Bursting, Installation Of A Liner System Such As Cured-In-Place Pipe (Cipp), Swagelining, Or Any Combination Thereof. The Finished Product Shall Be Of A Material That Is Inert To Hydrogen Sulfide. If Replacement With Dip Is Proposed, The Dip Shall Be Lined With A Ceramic Epoxy Lining Such As Tnemec Series 431 Perma-Shield Pl Or Approved Equal.The Project Shall Consist Of Three (3) Distinct Sections, As Identified In This Request For Proposals. The Authority May Award Each Section Separately, All Three Sections Together, Or Any Combination Thereof.All Work Will Be Performed Within Authority Easements And/Or Inside Public Right Of Way. All Anticipated Rights Of Way And Easements Required For The Project Have Been Obtained. All Anticipated Federal, State, And Local Permits Required For The Project Have Been Obtained.Parties Interested In This Request For Proposals Must Obtain A Copy Of The Full Proposal Package Or Their Proposals Will Be Considered Nonresponsive.
