We are seeking an industry standard multi-joint isokinetic dynamometer (unit) that has a user-friendly interface and offers high-precision measurement and assessment of muscular strength for a wide range of joint movements. We require a unit that can be adjusted for both upper and lower body joints and can be used across multiple age ranges and populations. The unit will be used in research, teaching, and clinical contexts. We expect that the unit will be suitable for all major joint movements and support: (1) multi-joint testing for isometric positions and isokinetic (concentric and eccentric) movements up to 500°/s and torques up to 650 Nm; and (2) the ability to execute multi-joint training protocols in a range of modes that include: passive, isometric, isokinetic and isotonic. We require that the dynamometer can be used to integrate peripheral devices (e.g., EMG) and be adaptable to measure real-life movements and linear patterned movement.
