Communication equipment is vital for the operational performance of Fire and Emergency, as such, it is critical that emergency response is not inhibited by the malfunction of any of the communications equipment. The extent of communication equipment usage varies between stations. This Request for Information (RFI) is in reference to the management of the communication equipment, not just routine maintenance and fault recovery. There is an emphasis on, preventative maintenance, identification of major issues and the subsequent repair and/or replacement well before malfunctions occur. Fire and Emergency would also like to leverage having skilled and trusted technical suppliers who are able to undertake simple technology related activities at our stations during preventative maintenance visits, and to assist with on-site faults if required.
