Violations Of Road Traffic Legislation Are A Serious Road Safety Problem. We Know From The National Roads Administrations Analyzes Of Fatal Accidents That Road User Behaviour, Such As Speeding, Driving Under The Influence Of Drugs And Other Risky Behavior Are Among The Most Frequent Contributing Factors To Accidents Occurring. Lack Of Use Of Seat Belts Is One Of The Most Important Contributing Factors To The Extent Of Injuries (Dybdeanalyser Av Dötsylukylker I Vegtrafiken, 2022). It Is Therefore Important To Get An Overview Of The Extent Of Clearly Risk-Increasing Violations Of Road Traffic Legislation (Hereafter Road Traffic Violations), And How We Can Improve Traffic Safety By Reducing The Number Of Such. The Fewest Road Traffic Offenses Are Detected. For A Long Time There Was Relatively Insufficient Documentation Of The Level Of Detection Risk For Various Infringements. To Fill This Knowledge Gap, Two Surveys Were Carried Out, First In 2010, And Then Again In 2014 (Tøi Report 1059/2010 And Tøi Report 1361/2014). The Ministry Of Transport Now Wants An Updated Overview Of The Detection Risk For Road Traffic Offenses In Order To Gain Knowledge Of The Development Over The Last Ten Years. There Is A Need To Update Knowledge About Both The Objective And The Subjective The Detection Risk For Road Traffic Offenses And How The Objective Can Be Increased, So That The Enforcement Authorities Can Better Target Their Use Of Resources. The Project Will Look In Particular At Road Traffic Offenses Which Involve A High Risk Of Personal Injury Accidents.
