The Metropolis Of Lyon Is Responsible For The Collection And Treatment Of Household Waste And Similar Waste (Article L5215-20 Of The General Code Of Local Authorities) In The 59 Municipalities In Its Territory. The Lyon Metropolis Owns A Former Non-Hazardous Waste Storage Facility (Isdnd) In The Town Of Rillieux-La-Pape, Route De Fontaines At A Place Called “Le Grand Montcharra”. This Site, In Post-Operation Since 2005, Continues To Produce Biogas From The Decomposition Of Household Waste Buried There. This Biogas Is Captured And Incinerated In A Flare. As Part Of The Thirty-Year Monitoring Of This Site Until June 2034, The Métropole De Lyon Is Responsible For Ensuring The Maintenance Of The Biogas Capture, Collection And Treatment Installations And Monitoring Degassing.
