Waste Disposal Site Construction Work – Closure Of Non-Compliant Landfills And Dumpsites In Northeast Region. The Works Contract For Closure Of Non-Compliant Landfills And Dumpsites In The North-East Region Shall Cover The Following: • Clean-Up Of Non-Compliant Landfills And Small Dumpsites By Excavation Of Waste And Transport Of Excavated Waste In The Northeast Regions; • Remediation And Closure Of Minimum Two (2) Old Landfills In Northeast Region By Reshaping And Construction Of A Top Capping System Including Leachate And Gas Collection Systems Where Necessary; • Reshaping Of Minimum Three (3) Landfills In North-East Region And Construction Of Drainage For Leachate Collection Where Necessary. The Landfills Will Not Be Closed But Remain In Operation Till The Completion Of The Regional Waste Management Centre. The Contract Will Be Implemented According To The Fidic Conditions Of Contract (“Yellow Book”, 1999 Edition).
