Expression of Interest are invited for Strategic Country Cluster Evaluation of the Amazon Biome The aim of this country cluster evaluation of the Amazon is to draw evidence of GEFs contribution to strengthening biodiversity conservation, reducing deforestation and degradation, and improving community livelihoods in the Amazon. Reflecting on the three phases of the ASLprogram , this evaluation also aims to provide insights and lessons for future programming, design, and implementation of the GEFs work in the region. The evaluation will be conducted at three levels: strategic; program and project; and country levels. The findings from this evaluation will feed into OPS8. At the strategic level, the evaluation will assess: 1. Evolution of ASL Program in response to the drivers of environmental degradation, regional priorities and the convention guidance; 2. Value addition of the Program; 3. Policy coherence of the national and consistency with broader regional objectives; 4. Results and effectiveness of the program.
