In 1999, The First Underground Glass Containers Appeared On The Streets. In The Meantime, Approximately 60 Underground Glass Containers Have Been Installed In The City Of Antwerp That Are Not Integrated Into A Sorting Street. There Are Also Several Projects In The Pipeline Involving The Installation Of Underground Glass Containers. No Maintenance Contract Was Provided For The Installation Of Underground Glass Containers. But These Glass Containers Must Be Maintained On A Regular Basis. Due To Intensive Use, Parts Also Need To Be Replaced Regularly. This Framework Agreement Includes Periodic Basic Maintenance Of The Glass Containers And On-Call Repairs To Both The Above-Ground And Underground Parts. This Service Is Part Of Fost Pluss Obligation To Take Back Household Packaging Waste In Accordance With The Interregional Cooperation Agreement On The Prevention And Management Of Packaging Waste. To This End, The Contracting Authority Has Concluded An Agreement With Fost Plus, The Recognized Organization For Household Packaging Waste. It Is Also The Latter Who Will Reimburse The Services Provided By The Service Provider In The Context Of This Assignment. The City Of Antwerp Acts As The Contracting Authority And Fost Plus Will Assume Certain Responsibilities, As Further Determined In These Specifications. The Other Matters Will Be Arranged By The Contracting Authority, After Consultation With Fost Plus.
