Diners and visitors to Parliament already enjoy food which showcases the best New Zealand cuisine, while soaking up the atmosphere at the heart of New Zealands democracy. Now, we want to pair this quintessentially New Zealand experience with some of our countrys finest wines. To reflect the incredible diversity of styles that the New Zealand wine industry can produce, the parliamentary wine range will include a variety of white and red wines as well as a port, so wineries are encouraged to submit their favourite styles from their stock. We are specifically looking to put in place supply contracts with up to six wineries for the supply of six or seven different varietals including one Méthode Traditionnelle, two three white wines, two three red wines and one Port/Tawny Port. Further, As part of these exclusive contracts, we will also negotiate a minimum spend with successful wineries (i.e., PS will buy a minimum of X bottles per annum). All New Zealand wineries are invited to submit their varietals to be part of the exclusive Parliament wine range. This signature line of branded wines will serve as the house brand wine in Parliaments eateries (Bellamys restaurant and Pickwicks Bar), be the only wine served at parliamentary events, and will be available for retail sale in the Parliament Gift Shop where it will be available as gifts for visiting foreign dignitaries and for MPs to gift when travelling on international parliamentary delegations. With Parliament hosting over 80,000 visitors every year, from members of the public to high profile visiting dignitaries, this opportunity provides a truly unique platform to showcase New Zealands wineries.
