Airbus Defence and Space Ltd is the Lead Contractor for the Landing Platform Mechanical Thermal and Propulsion System (MTPS). As part of their scope of work, Airbus will release an Invitation to Tender (ITT) looking for a supplier of the required Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE): The list of MGSE required for the various Landing Platform MTPS models is as followed: One Vertical Integration Stand (VIS) to be used during the structure assembly, propulsion assembly and platform assembly activities. The requirement is for a simple stand which will be used for integration and deployments of the Landing Platform MTPS mechanisms and as a stable stand to allow alignment measurements. One Turn Over Trolley (TOT) in order to allow the Landing Platform MTPS to be turned over 0 to 180 degrees enabling easy access to all parts of the structure to perform assembly and integration of the Landing Platform MTPS components. One Lifting Device (LD) will be for lifting the RFM LP MTPS (complete or partially complete) in different weight configurations in order to transfer it onto/from the Turn Over Trolley and Vertical Integration Stand to be used for different phases of integration or deployment activities or to transfer onto the bio-management container (inner container) base in order to be transferred into the primary container.
