Expression of Interest For Feasibility Assessment Of Grid Tied Bess In Select Discoms

Expression of Interest are invited for Feasibility Assessment of Grid tied BESS in Select DISCOMs in India Exponentially increasing peak demand, constraints of adding new network infrastructure specially in fast growing cities, growth of DERs such as on-site solar generation and EVs are rapidly changing the landscape of electricity transmission & distribution systems (T&D). The objective of this assignment is to identify the value streams of grid- tied (T&D) battery energy storage system (BESS) in two representative States in India. Objective is to provide techno-commercial feasibility under operational conditions, quantify such values and arrive at appropriate business models and regulatory & policy gaps including key enablers. This study is aimed at applications of BESS at T&D system level along with case studies & best practices from developed markets such as US, Australia & Europe etc. The project is aimed to assess the economic viability (and demonstrate the potential need for concessional financing) include planning and design studies needed for BESS implementation.
