Bids Are Invited For Experimental Application Service Of The Pisa 2025 Study

The Organization For Economic Co-Operation And Development (Oecd), Which Currently Has 38 Member Countries, Aims To Promote Policies That Improve The Economic And Social Well-Being Of People, Helping Governments To Promote Prosperity And Reduce Poverty Through Economic Growth And Financial Stability. Within This Framework, The Oecd Program For International Student Assessment (Pisa), Which Emerged As An Initiative In 1997, Aims To Evaluate Educational Systems Around The World By Testing The Skills And Knowledge Of 15-Year-Old Students In Participating Countries/Economies. Through Computer-Based Tests In An Online System, It Is Established To What Extent Students Near The End Of Compulsory Education Have Acquired Some Of The Knowledge And Skills Necessary For Full Participation In Society And That Will Allow Them To Face The Challenges That They Can Find Throughout Their Lives. The Program For International Student Assessment Has Been Measuring The Knowledge, Skills And Attitudes Of Young People For The Last Twenty Years, To Understand How The Achievements Of Countries Educational Systems Evolve Over Time. Since 2000, More Than 90 Countries And Economies Have Participated In Pisa. This Evaluation Has Been Carried Out Every Three Years Until The 2025 Cycle. Starting In The 2029 Cycle, The Test Will Be Applied Every Four Years. Pisa Evaluates Students Skills In Mathematics, Reading And Natural Sciences, Emphasizing One Of These Areas In Each Cycle. In The 2025 Cycle, The Emphasized Area Is Natural Sciences, Which Implies A Greater Number Of Questions From This Area In The Test And Questionnaires. Pisa Is Conducted By An International Consortium That Coordinates All Technical Activities In The Different Participating Countries. In Addition, In Some Cycles Other Innovative Domains Have Been Added, Such As Team Problem Solving, Financial Knowledge, Global Competence Or Creative Thinking, Which Are Included As Part Of The Test. In The 2025 Cycle The Innovative Domain Will Be Learning In The Digital World. The Experimental Application Is Carried Out On A Random Sample Of 15-Year-Old Students, Which Must Ensure That It Reflects The Diversity Of The Countrys Student Population. In This Experimental Application, 31 Establishments In Three Regions Of The Country Will Be Selected In Chile. In Each Establishment That Makes Up The Sample, 85 15-Year-Old Students Enrolled From 7Th Grade To Middle Iv Will Be Selected. Students Are Expected To Take The Pisa Test In July 2024.
