The Anklamer Vorstadt Is A Wilhelminian-Style Neighborhood Between The Historic City Center And The Train Station. As Part Of The Old Redevelopment Area, Only Part Of The Anklamer Vorstadt Was Redeveloped. The Hanseatic City Of Demmin Would Like To Use Urban Development Renovation Measures To Eliminate The Existing Urban Development Deficiencies And Redesign The Area For The Future. The Planning Basis For This Is The Draft Report Of The Preparatory Investigations (According To Section 141 Para. 1 Baugb) As Well As The Second Update Of The Integrated Urban Development Concept (Isek) Of The Hanseatic City Of Demmin. The Aim Is To Strengthen The Anklamer Vorstadt And Thus Also The City Center Of Demmin As One Of Three Medium-Sized Centers In The Mecklenburg Lake District. This Includes, In Particular, Strengthening Inner-City Residential, Retail And Service Functions, Improving Route And Transport Connections And Upgrading Public Space. The Primary Measures Are Therefore: Building Renovations And The Creation Of A Housing Supply That Meets Current And Future Needs And Takes Climate Adaptation Into Account; Redesign Of Streets, Paths And Street Intersections With Safe And Barrier-Free Guidance For All Road Users With Sufficient Seating And Greenery
