The Theater Building Was Last Rebuilt In 1968 As Part Of Its Former Use As A Venue For The Hessischer Rundfunk. Since Then, No Significant Renovations Have Been Made. In Order To Ensure Continued Gaming Operations, A Thorough Renovation Is Necessary, Making It Largely Handicap-Accessible And Upgrading It In Terms Of Energy, Statics And Fire Protection. In This Context, A Holistic New Structuring With An Upgrade Of The Building Ensemble Is Necessary. In 2022, A Preliminary Study For The Conversion And Renovation Was Developed. The Planning For The Construction Project Should Take Place In 2024/25. Construction Is Scheduled To Begin In Spring 2026 And Completion Is Scheduled For Fall 2028.
