Architectural And Related Services – Comödienhaus Wilhelmsbad, Extension And Basic Renovation. Planning Service In Accordance With Section 34 Hoai, Part 3 Property Planning In Conjunction With Appendix 10, Service Phases 2-8. The Wilhelmsbad Comedienhaus, Built In 1781, Is Part Of The Listed Historical Wilhelmsbad Complex. The Ensemble Was Built Between 1777 And 1785 For Hereditary Prince Wilhelm Ix As A Spa And Bathing Facility And Is Still A Highly Frequented Excursion Destination In The Region Today. The Wilhelmsbad State Park Is One Of The Properties Of The “State Palaces And Gardens Of Hesse”. The Theater Building Was Last Rebuilt In 1968 As Part Of Its Former Use As A Venue For The Hessischer Rundfunk. Since Then, No Significant Renovations Have Been Made. In Order To Ensure Continued Gaming Operations, A Thorough Renovation Is Necessary, Making It Largely Handicap-Accessible And Upgrading It In Terms Of Energy, Statics And Fire Protection. In This Context, A Holistic New Structuring With An Upgrade Of The Building Ensemble Is Necessary. In 2022, A Preliminary Study For The Conversion And Renovation Was Developed. A Sketch From The Study Is Attached As An Attachment To This Call For Proposals. (Appendix 2.12) And Is Only Intended As A Guide. The Preliminary Study Must Be Further Developed/Redeveloped With A View To The Optimized Floor Plan Design Of The Ground Floor And Upgrading Of The Building Ensemble. The Existing Building Consists Of Four Buildings Or Parts Of Buildings That Are Connected To Each Other: Barn Theater, Porch, Cavalier Building And Artists Cloakroom. The Procedure Mentioned Here Refers To The Basic Renovation Of The Four Parts Of The Building. What Is Desired Is The Creation Of A Catering Infrastructure For Break Management That Also Functions As An Independent Catering Solution For Day-To-Day Operations (“Theater Café”). For This Purpose, There Is A Need To Expand The Usable Area Or To Optimize The Use Of The Space So That It Can Be Used In Parallel (Break Foyer And Café). The Planning For The Construction Project Should Take Place In 2024/25. Construction Is Scheduled To Begin In Spring 2026 And Completion Is Scheduled For Fall 2028.
