Vehicle modifications enable Clients who have been identified by ACC as requiring vehicle modifications to: Get in and out of vehicle safely and have freedom and safety of movement while in it; and Safely drive or operate a vehicle; and/or Travel safely as a passenger; and/or Transport essential mobility equipment; and Live as independently and safely as possible. This service incorporates the following key principles that will define and guide Vehicle Modification Services provision: Conformity of vehicles with Land Transport Compliance Rules and Low Volume Vehicle Standards; Safety; Sustainability; Value for money; and Client comfort. This is an open application process i.e., applications will be processed as and when it is received, and the listing will remain open on GETS until ACC deems there is sufficient capacity to meet the client volumes or prior to a new contract being tendered.
