Tenders Are Invited For Chemical Contaminants In Plant Based Protein Survey

Food Standards Scotland (Fss) Requires A Service Provider To Provide A Survey Service Of Chemical Contaminants In Plant-Based Protein Products (Pbpp). Plant-Based Protein Products Include Meat Alternative Products Such As Tofu, Mince, Non-Meat Pieces, And Protein Powders. The Survey Service Will Provide Sampling Data On The Levels Of Mycotoxins And Plant-Based Alkaloids In A Range Of Pbpp (Containing Either Soy Protein, Wheat Protein, Pea Protein Or Mycoprotein). The Results Of The Survey Will Be Used To Inform Future Surveillance Plans For Plant-Based Protein Products.
