Request for proposals are invited for Pre-Feasibility Study for Retrofitting Privately-Owned Residential Compounds into Energy- and Water-Efficient Homes in Doha, Qatar. SCOPE OF WORK: The specific activities are further fleshed out below. For this consultancy assignment, flexibility may be required to adapt to the local needs and context. Thus, while the activities are elaborated below, the consultant should anticipate reasonable changes that may affect the nature and scope of the final deliverables. Activity 1: Outline the rationale for sustainable consumption in Qatar, notably from a households perspective. The consultant shall: § Take stock of global governmental initiatives and financial mechanisms to incentivize the private sector in retrofitting their homes. § Outline the rationale for sustainable energy consumption in the Qatari context (in relevance to Qatar climate strategy). § Outline the rationale for sustainable water consumption in the Qatari context (in relevance to Qatars SCP and circular economy goals). § Identify existing energy performance gaps and plausible inefficiencies in the Qatari residential sectors. § Assess current and future electricity demand in Qatar and its residential sector. § Assess current and future water demand in Qatar and its residential sector. § Evaluate current and future energy- and water-related GHG emissions in Qatar and its residential sector. § Provide a baseline analysis of energy and water consumption, demand profile (intraday and by month) for a typical home, i.e., apartment and villa respectively Tender Link : https://in-tendhost.co.uk/gggi/aspx/Tenders/Current
