Request for Proposal For Provision Of Translation Services

Request for proposals are invited for Provision of Translation Services Service Summary: Irex Seeks English-Arabic/Arabic-English Translators and/or Kurdish - English/Kurdish - English Translators and Interpreters to Work Remotely from Their Home-Base, or to Accompany in-Person Trainers when Travel Restrictions Allow in the Future. Selected Translators will be Responsible for Translation of Training Documents, Presentations, and Other Documents as Needed/Requested by the Program Team. Selected Interpreters will be Responsible for Consecutive and/or Simultaneous Interpretation of on-Site and Remote Training, Meetings, Conferences, and Webinars. Preferred Candidates will Ideally have Experience Providing Services to Education and Higher Education Clients, as Well as Knowledge of the Terminology Used in Education. Candidates should be Able to Process Information Quickly and Concisely and Recognize Sensitive Cultural Differences. The Position will Include Support for Multiple Education Programs. Required Services: · Provide Accurate, Detailed, and Timely Written Arabic-English/English-Arabic or Kurdish-English/Arabic Transcription/Translation (as Requested) of Training Documents, Presentations, and Other Documents; · Provide Accurate, Detailed, and Timely Spoken Arabic-English/English-Arabic or Kurdish-English/Arabic Consecutive or Simultaneous Interpretation (as Requested) of Trainings, Meetings, Conferences, and Webinars including Remotely and Possibly in-Person in Erbil or Baghdad, Iraq; · Respond to IrexS E-Mails and Other Types of Communication for Clarifications, Edits, and Corrections as and if Needed; Skills and Experience: · Certification in English-Arabic-English or English-Kurdish-English Interpretation/Translation Preferred; · Minimum 3-5 Years of Experience in Translation Preferred [Please Provide References for Any Translation Services Performed]; · Previous Experience Providing Translation Services for Education or Higher Education is Preferred but not Required [Please Provide References from Education or Higher Education Organizations]; · Willingness to Work in a Flexible Manner in Terms of Number of Working Hours, Days of Work.
