As Part Of The Open Process, A Cnc Universal Cylindrical Grinding Machine For Producing Wave-Shaped Workpieces Made Of Ceramics And Other Hard Materials Is Being Put Out To Tender. The Aim Is To Maintain The Manufacturing Capabilities Of The Finish Department At Fraunhofer Ikts. This Machine Will Be Used To Carry Out Research Projects As Well As Small Series Production Of Workpieces. The Universal Cylindrical Grinding Machine Should Have Two External Grinding Spindles And One Internal Grinding Spindle On The Controlled B-Axis In Order To Flexibly Meet The Requirements Of Research And Industry. The Aim Is To Procure A System That Is Easy To Operate And At Least Meets The Capabilities Of The Machine To Be Replaced. Due To The Tools Used, Diamond Grinding Wheels That Are Already Balanced, A Dressing System Is Not Desired. Likewise, No Measurement Control Is Required. The Installation Location Is In The Basement Of The First Construction Phase Of The New Building. Access Is Via A Light Shaft And Is Then At Ground Level. The Installation Site Itself Is Limited In Width, Length And Height, And The Passages To Reach It Are Also Limited In Width And Height (See Document 006_1 On-Site Conditions).
