Tenders are invited for ESPRIT RM - Power Conditioning and Distribution Unit. Open Date: 02/02/2024 Closing Date: 18/03/2024 The European Systems Providing Refuelling, Infrastructure and Tele-communication) (ESPRIT) is one of the ESAs contribution to the Cislunar Gateway. It includes: (1) the HALO Lunar Communication System (HLCS) (2) A stand-alone Refuelling Module (RM) and (3) Fluid transfer connectors (FTC) for HALO and PPE to be integrated and launched with their docking mechanisms that are used for propellant transfer. The Cislunar Gateway is a multi-element infrastructure designed to support both robotic and human exploration of cis-lunar space and act as a basecamp for sustained lunar exploration. It is intended to be occupied by a crew of up to four astronauts for periods ranging from two weeks to two months, but otherwise operates as a robotic spacecraft. The objective of the present procurement is the selection of the contractor for the ESPRIT-ERM Power Conditioning and Distribution Unit (PCDU) in accordance with the principles of ESA Best Practices. The supplier will be in charge of Design, Manufacturing and Test of the Unit core of ESPRIT ERM Power Architecture. The PCDU will Interface the Gateway Main Power bus (120V) with insulation and selection functions. This unit will have also to interface with Onboard batteries. The Distribution function will enable to provide Power supply to ERM units (including heaters) under 120V and 28V. Moreover, the PCDU will include Pyro and Valves Interfaces. Regarding with unit accommodation in ERM system, PCDU will be specified with critical constraints on Volume and Mass.
