Tenders Are Invited For Clydach Ironworks Consolidation Phase 3

A Principle Designer Has Been Appointed And Has Developed A Schedule Of Works Which Is Attached To This Brief. We Now Require A Principal Contractor To Start Carrying Out And Complete This Work In 2024. The Schedule Of Works, Attached In Appendix 1, Details The 10 Areas Of The Monument That Require Consolidation. The Interventions Required Include Dismantling Some Areas Of The Monument, Excavation Works And Consolidation Of Key Features. All Interventions Are Described In Detail In The Schedule Of Works And Accompanying Drawings Which Can Be Found In Appendices 6-15. A Key Plan Of The Site Is Provided In Appendix 3 And An Access Plan In Appendix 4. This Information Details The Machinery And Materials Needed To Carry Out This Work. The Following Outputs Are Required From The Successful Contractor: •Work With The Principal Designer And Cadw To Agree Intervention Methods Works As Per The Schedule Of Works. •Carry Out Consolidation Works, As Per Instructions From The Principal Designer And In Accordance With Cadw’S Schedule Ancient Monument Consent. •Carry Out The Duties As The Principal Contractor As Per The Construction (Design And Management) Regulations 2015. Work With The Ecological Clerk Of Works And Archaeological Clerk Of Works To Ensure Any Concerns Around Ecology Or Archaeology Are Dealt With Before Proceeding.
