Expression Of Interest Are Invited For Capacity Strengthening Of IndiaS Forest Sector On Integrated Landscape Planning Objective: The Primary Objective Of This 5-Day Training Course Is To Equip Participants With The Knowledge, Skills, And Practical Understanding Of Employing Landscape Approaches In Forest Management, Integrating Cutting-Edge Technologies For Improved Resource Utilization, Conservation, And Sustainable Development. Specific Sub-Objectives Are To: · A. Equip Participants With Comprehensive Knowledge Of The Landscape Approach In Forest Management. · B. Provide Insights Into The Latest Technologies Applicable To Forest Conservation And Management. · C. Foster Collaboration Among Participants To Develop Innovative Strategies For Landscape-Based Forest Management. · · D. Empower Participants To Apply Learned Concepts In Their Respective Professional Settings Together With Communities And Other Stakeholders. 2) Developing The Value Chains Of Non-Timber Forest Products For The Economic Transformation Of Forest Dependent Communities Non-Timber Forest Products (Ntfps) Play A Crucial Role In The Livelihoods Of Forest-Dependent Communities In India. These Products, Ranging From Medicinal Plants To Edible Mushrooms, Provide Income, Food Security, And Cultural Significance For Millions Of People. However, Ntfp Value Chains Are Often Inefficient, Fragmented, And Lack Access To Markets. This Hinders The Economic Transformation Of Forest-Dependent Communities And Perpetuates Poverty And Environmental Degradation. The Indian Forest Service (Ifs) Officers Play A Crucial Role In The Sustainable Management And Conservation Of Forests, Including The Promotion Of Economic Growth Within Forest-Dependent Communities. This 5-Day Training Course Aims To Equip Ifs Officers With Specialized Knowledge And Skills In Developing Value Chains For Non-Timber Forest Products (Ntfps), Fostering Economic Transformation And Community Development.
