The Cowichan Tribes (The “Nation”) Is Taking Steps To Update The Interior Layout And Design Of Itsadministration Department Building Located At 5760 Allenby Road, Duncan. The Nation Isseeking To Engage Private Sector Firms With Experience And Proven Capacity To Deliverarchitectural Layout And Design, Project Management, And Construction Supervision Services.This Request For Proposals (Rfp) Has Been Issued To Evaluate Prospective Firms Withdemonstrated Capacity To Assemble A Team Of Professionals To Complete The Redesign Of Theadministration Department Building, Prepare Tender Documents And Project Manageconstruction Of The Project.The Project Falls Within Cowichan Tribes Administration Offices Site Where A Majority Of Ouremployees Work. The Building Was Constructed In The Early 1990’S For The Administrationemployees At The Time. Over The Past 10 Years, As The Administration Department Has Built Up Itsorganizational Structure, Has Outgrown Their Building And Is In Need Of A Redesign Of The Layoutand Space.The Nation Is Looking To Have The Indoor Space Redesigned To Include Improved Entrance Andflow Through The Building, Increased Office Space, Improved Security And Emergency Access Forvisitors And Employees.The Cowichan Tribes Is Seeking Proposals For An Architectural Team To Provide For Design,Tendering, And Construction Project Management Services To Redesign And Construct The Interiorbuilding Space. This Project Will Require A Proponent With A Team Experienced In Working Withstructural, Electrical And Mechanical Engineers, Interior Designers, Security Specialists Andproject Management Given The Significant Works Required For This Project.
