Pharmac Is Working Towards Applying The Full Pharmac Model To Hospital Medical Devices To Drive Value, Consistent And Equitable Access For New Zealanders. To Date PharmacS Focus Has Been On Building A Comprehensive List Of Medical Devices That Are Used In Te Whatu Ora Hospitals Through Negotiating National Contracts. PharmacS Contracts Mean There Are Nationally Consistent Terms And Conditions For The Hospital Medical Devices Te Whatu Ora Purchases. Prior To PharmacS Involvement, Hospitals Contracted For Medical Devices Directly With Suppliers, Either Individually, Or On A Regional Basis. Through This Procurement Pharmac Seeks To Identify, Select, And Engage A Preferred Supplier To Implement And Support A Solution That Will Provide Multiple Internal And External Web Portals. The Solution Will Use A Low-Code Based Platform. Pharmac Will Work With The Selected Supplier To Design And Develop A New Internal Secure Api Layer To Support The Web Portals. The Solution Will Support Pharmac To Process Hospital Medical Devices In A Similar Manner To The Process That Pharmac Has Applied To The Pharmaceutical Space. The Solution Will Form Part Of The New Hospital Medical Devices Technology Landscape.
