Expression of Interest are invited for Market Study for Kazakhstans Agriculture Commodities Export Potential. To conduct market analysis that would assess the competitiveness of Kazakhstans wheat and other rotating crops, oilseeds/edible oil, and livestock, including in processed state, in markets in the Middle East, Turkiye, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. The objective of this Project is to identify concrete investment opportunities for the IFC, should the analysis demonstrate that the agricultural products from Kazakhstan can be competitive in the identified markets. Scope of work includes the following 4 areas: 1. Agri commodities production analysis: A. Identification of types, quality, cost of production, seasonality, and domestic demand for agri products in Kazakhstan. B. Mapping top 10 largest exporters, producers and processors. C. Identification and mapping of top 10 existing and potential capable operators that could develop a working integrated production systems. D. Characteristics of largest producers and processors. E. Agri practices and technology adoption, management practices (including climate) in Kazakh agriculture. F. Similar analysis as above for at least one competitor country (e.g. Australia for meat, Russia for wheat). G. On-the-ground interviews of top 10 largest producers/exporters. H. Identification of investments, size and areas, needed to increase productivity and yields and improve processing. I. Development of projections on the cost, volume of production and processing and size of the domestic markets. J. Assessment of weaknesses and identify short to medium term recommendations and investment/engagement opportunities for the World Bank Group.
