Municipal Shelter For Ukrainian Displaced Persons Has Been Temporarily Organized And The Current Contracts With Hotels Run Until March 2024. The Municipality Of Sittard-Geleen Is Now Making Preparations For More Structural Municipal Shelter For Ukrainian Displaced Persons. Continuation Of Temporary Shelter Is Necessary To Bridge The Gap To This More Structural Shelter. An Announcement For This Was Already Placed On Tenderned On November 10, 2023. In Addition, The Municipality Wants To Anticipate The Increased National Demand For Shelter Places. That Is What This Tender Is About, Which Is Being Marketed More Broadly Than Just Accommodation In Hotels. As Indicated In The Title Of This Tender, There Must Also Be Room At The Locations To Offer Temporary Shelter To Status Holders (These Are Not Asylum Seekers), Who Will Be Housed Within The Municipal Boundaries Of The Municipality Of Sittard-Geleen. This Will Apply Exceptionally. This Tender Concerns An Expansion Of The Number Of Municipal Shelters For The Expected New Influx Of Ukrainian Displaced Persons. The Need For Expansion Of Shelters Is Based On A National Forecast Of The Influx Of Ukrainian Displaced Persons In Relation To The Current Shelter Capacity In The Municipality Of Sittard-Geleen. That Is Why The Municipality Reserves The Right To Unilaterally Increase Or Decrease The Number Of Rooms Every Two Months.
