Clinical coding is undertaken in our hospitals to support planning of services (capacity), understanding variation (warranted and unwarranted) and support research and policy development. Regions are required to report clinical coded data in a specified format to the NMDS national collection. The Data & Digital team has identified that AI techniques may help improve health care speed and accuracy. This Registration of Interest (ROI) is an invitation to submit a Registration of Interest in the Artificial Intelligence Assisted Clinical Coding Pilots for Hospital Admissions contract opportunity.
