This Advance notice is to inform local contractors about the upcoming road and traffic construction services opportunity. What we need? The contract physical work will include but is not limited to the following: New Concrete Buildouts New Footpaths New Asphalt and Concrete Raised Tables Replacing existing Kerb and Channel New Signs and Markings Stormwater Improvements Traffic Management Stakeholder liaison The Council is wanting to provide a fair and sustainable procurement opportunity to encourage participation from all suitable suppliers. Whats important to us? We are looking for a suitable contractor, who is able to undertake the civil work required to construct the proposed works. A contractor who is good with stakeholder liaison and has an attitude that reflects Council needs and broader outcome expectations. Why should you participate? This is a unique opportunity to help us shape the way we select our future suppliers. There could be further opportunities to work with us to delivery similar work in the 2024-27 Low Cost Low Risk programme. Whats next? We intend to go to the market for procurement of the package of works in the middle of January 2024; This opportunity will be advertised on the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS); and We expect the contract to start in March 2024 with completion no later than the end of June 2024.
