Expression Of Interest Are Invited For Consultancy Services For Update Of Feasibility Study & Detailed Designs For PiggS Peak-Bulembu (Mr20) And PiggS Peak-Bulandzeni (Mr2) Roads. The Services Included Under This Project Are Undertaking The Requisite Engineering, Economic And Environmental Studies, And Identification Of Options For Optimal, Cost-Effective, And Economically Justified Standards For Upgrading To Paved Standard Of Approximately 51.4 Km Of Sections Of Gravel Roads Along The CountryS Eastern Road Corridor In The Hhohho Region. The Consultancy Services Assignment Includes, But Is Not Limited To The Following: A) Feasibility Study: The Consultant Shall Undertake A Feasibility Study Which Shall Include The Following: I. Review Of Existing Documentation; Ii. Survey Of Existing Road And Environs Condition; Iii. Traffic, Origin-Destination And Axle Load Surveys; Iv. Hydrological Survey; V. Social Assessments And Safeguards Vi. Economic Analysis, Established Economic Evaluation Criteria And Models (Hdm-4) For A 20-Year Design Period And Vii. Environmental & Social Impact Assessment. Viii. Screening For Ppp Development Options B) Detailed Engineering Design: The Consultant Shall Use The Data And Information Collected From The Feasibility Study To Prepare A Detailed Engineering Design For The Alignment. Specifically, The Detailed Engineering Design Shall Include But Not Be Limited To The Following Key Aspects: I. Detailed Road Alignment; Ii. Detailed Soil Investigation Survey On The Proposed Alignment; Iii. Upon Completion Of The Detailed Design, Stake Out The Right Of Way Limits In Sufficient Detail For The Boundaries Of Properties Which Are To Be Expropriated And Acquired; Iv. Prepare Detailed Pavement Design For A 20-Year Design Life Based On Design Standards Stipulated In Ministry Of Public Works & Transport (Mopw &T) Design Standards Or Other International Best Practices In Consultation With The Mopw &T; V. Prepare Detailed Design Of Structures; Vi. The Consultant Shall Prepare A Bill Of Quantities And Cost Estimate; And Vii. The Consultant Shall Also Prepare A Drawings And Bidding Documents To Allow For The Procurement Of Works To Undertake The Work.
