Request for Proposals (RFP) for Rfp for Seismic Resilience Improvement Project Works at Sky Stadium Open Date: Monday, 18 December 2023 7:00 AM (Pacific/Auckland UTC+13:00) Close Date: Friday, 8 March 2024 5:00 PM (Pacific/Auckland UTC+13:00) Tender Type: Request for Proposals (RFP) Tender Coverage: Sole Agency Regions: Wellington Required Pre-qualifications: None Overview: The Wellington Regional Stadium Trust (WRST) invites qualified Respondents to submit proposals for building works to improve the resilience of the Stadiums flooring. WRST is a Charitable Trust, incorporated by the Wellington City Council and Greater Wellington Regional Council in 1997. It is the owner and operator of Sky Stadium, a 34,500 seat multi-purpose entertainment venue which is one of the most iconic venues in the Wellington and New Zealand sporting landscape. Sky Stadium is predominantly used for sporting fixtures for various codes, but also caters for concerts, entertainment and cultural events, exhibitions, product launches etc. The venue hosts around half a million patrons each year. Most events have attendances of around 10,000 and 20,000, however for two or three events a year (All Blacks test matches and concerts) the Stadium will sell-out. Following lessons learnt from the 2016 Kaikoura earthquake, the Trust has initiated several projects to enhance the Stadiums seismic resilience. Our emphasis is now on improving the seismic performance of the Stadiums flooring systems by retrofitting secondary supports and improving diaphragm action to 100% of the New Building Standard (NBS) at IL3 for seismic resilience. This is an open, competitive process. Take time to read and understand the RFP and technical documents provided.
