Expression of Interest are invited for Caribbean Ecosystem Resilience - Using Marine Ecosystems to Promote Resilient Pro-Blue Growth. The Economies; Dominated by Small Businesses; Are Heavily Reliant on Tourism for Jobs; A Market for Local Products and Foreign Exchange that Enables the Importation of Needed Domestic Products. Smes are the Least Able to Access Finance and Many are without Insurance to Cope with Regular disasters.within this Context the World Bank are Looking to Hire a Suitably Qualified Firm or Consortium of Firms (the Firm) to Support Research; And Development of a Suitable Framework; To Explore What can be Done to Build and Strengthen Insurance Products (Particularly Parametric Products) that Support Marine Ecology and Incorporate the Role of Marine Ecosystems in Financial Risk Reduction; Particularly with the Tourism sector.this Document (the Terms of Reference) Outlines the Structure of a Project to Develop this Framework. This Project will Analyze/Assess the Role of Insurance to Promote Conservation; Mitigation; And Reparatory Activities. This will Inform the Design of Potential Risk Transfer Products that Promote and Protect Investments in the Blue Economy and its Ecosystems.
