The school decided to renovate the Block D basement area into a multi-use teaching space/Whnau Hui and are looking for a main building contractor to complete these upgrades. This will consist of removing the current kitchen facilities, creating a newer, upgraded kitchen area and facilities to accompany this, creating additional storage solutions, adding power supplies, upgrading the interiors, and flooring. The bathroom area within the basement is to be upgraded. This requires removal and replacement of existing fixtures, fittings and flooring. Fixtures and fittings are being salvaged from a newly upgraded bathroom area within the school, as the building these are currently in will be demolished in December.
